EJA envisions a relationship-centered public school system that truly values parents and students as decision-makers and active agents of change.
EJA's mission is to dismantle the school-to-prison and school-to-deportation pipelines, eliminate the criminalization of Black, Brown, LGBTQ+ students, and students with disabilities and secure educational equity for all students in the public school system.
EJA started as a group of parents working to address discipline inequities in the Wake County Public School System. Our organization has since grown to shift policy, practice, and culture in North Carolina's public education system.
